‘This Week’ Draws Its Largest Overall Audience in Over 4 Months and Posts Its Best Key Adult Demos Performance in Over 2 Months

 

‘This Week’ Posts Double-Digit Gains on the Year-Ago Sunday in Total Viewers and Adults 25-54, Stands as the Only Public Affairs Program to Grow Year to Year in Both Measures

‘This Week’ Leads NBC’s “Meet the Press” in Total Viewers Season to Date for the First Time in 7 Years

“This Week with George Stephanopoulos” ranked No. 1 in Adults 25-54 on SundayAug. 14, 2022, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research, taking the top spot for the 3rd time in the last 4 weeks.

 

“This Week” defeated NBC’s “Meet the Press” by its largest Total Viewer margin (+346,000) in over 7 years  since 7/19/15, based on regular telecasts.

 

“This Week” improved on the previous week in Total Viewers (+9% – 2.669 million vs. 2.456 million) and Adults 25-54 (+13% – 528,000 vs. 466,000), drawing its largest overall audience in over 4 months and posting its best key Adult demos performance in over 2 months  since 3/27/22 and 6/5/22, respectively.

“This Week” posted double-digit gains on the year-ago Sunday in Total Viewers (+15% – 2.669 million vs. 2.315 million) and Adults 25-54 (+19% – 528,000 vs. 445,000), standing as the only public affairs program to grow year to year in both measures.

Season to date, “This Week” is ranking No. 1 in Adults 25-54leading CBS’ “Face the Nation” and NBC’s “Meet the Press” at this point of the season for the first time in 7 years — since the 2014-2015 season.

“This Week” is leading NBC’s “Meet the Press” in Total Viewers season to date for the first time in 7 years — since the 2014-2015 season. In addition, “This Week” is cutting its season margin with “Face the Nation” by 25% (265,000 vs. 355,000) to its smallest gap in 12 years — since the 2009-2010 season.

George Stephanopoulos is anchor, Martha Raddatz is chief global affairs correspondent and co-anchor, and Jonathan Karl is chief Washington correspondent and co-anchor of “This Week.” Dax Tejera is executive producer of the broadcast.
