Sharon McGee and Grandma Nin: The Ghost and Molly McGee

Sumalee Montano voices Sharon McGee, Molly’s creatively pragmatic mom, and Nin, Molly’s adoring grandmother, in Disney Channel’s animated buddy-comedy “The Ghost and Molly McGee.”

Montano will next be seen in Dan Brown’s “The Lost Symbol,” alongside Ashley Zukerman. Following, she will serve as a producer and star in the recently completed sci-fi film “The Deal.”

On-screen, Montano’s credits include “This Is Us,” “How to Get Away with Murder,” “Veep,” “Scandal,” “Star Trek: Picard,” “S.W.A.T.” and “NCIS.”

A prolific voice actor, Montano has lent her voice to nearly 200 roles across film, television and video games. Her television credits include “Transformers Prime,” “Cleopatra in Space,” “Carmen Sandiego,” “Star Wars Resistance,” “The Casagrandes,” “The Loud House,” “Kung Fu Panda: The Paws of Destiny” and “Voltron: Legendary Defender.” Her video games credits include “Ghost of Tsushima,” “Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order,” “The Outer Worlds,” “Gears 5,” “Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order” and “Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege.”

Off-screen, Montano is an advocate for telling intergenerational stories that center multicultural talent both in front and behind the camera. She is a producing partner of LinLay Productions, alongside Grace Lay. LinLay Productions strives to amplify voices that deserve the chance to leave a visible and lasting mark in the history of storytelling, with upcoming projects that include Orsi Nagypál’s “The Deal” and Nikyatu Jusu’s “Nanny.”

Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, Montano graduated from Harvard University as a U.S. Fulbright Scholar. She currently resides in Los Angeles.
