Story Editor: The Chicken Squad

Humanitas Prize and Emmy® Award-winning writer Rachel Ruderman is co-producer and story editor of Disney Junior’s animated comedy “The Chicken Squad.” The series follows Coop, Little Boo and Sweetie—a trio of young chicken siblings—and their trusted mentor, Captain Tully, a retired search and rescue dog, who team up on problem-solving adventures in their backyard to help their animal friends.

While serving as a staff writer on Disney’s “Elena of Avalor,” Ruderman earned an Emmy Award in the Outstanding Writing for a Preschool Animated Program category. She also received a Humanitas Prize and an Emmy Award nomination for her work on Disney Junior’s “Sofia the First.” Her additional writing credits include “Handy Manny,” “Angelina Ballerina: The Next Steps,” “Imagination Movers” and “Growing Up Creepie.”

A graduate of Columbia University, Ruderman resides in Redondo Beach, California, with her husband and two children.
