Frank Montagna

Co-Executive Producer / Art Director: Alice's Wonderland Bakery

Frank Montagna is co-executive producer and art director on Disney Junior’s animated series “Alice’s Wonderland Bakery.” Inspired by the world of “Alice in Wonderland,” the series centers on Alice, the great-granddaughter of the original heroine and a budding young baker at the enchanted Wonderland Bakery, where her magical treats help bring a new generation of friends and families together.

A 15-year Disney veteran, Montagna most recently was art director on Disney’s Emmy® Award-winning series “Elena of Avalor.”

He spent most of his childhood drawing and creating stories about the characters from pop culture that inspired him. After graduating from the School of Visual Arts in New York City, he realized his childhood dream by becoming an animation artist at Walt Disney Feature Animation in Florida. There, he was fortunate enough to work on such classics as “Tarzan,” “Mulan” and “The Hunchback of Notre Dame.”

His additional Disney credits include “The 7D” and the “Timon and Pumbaa Safety Smart” DVD Series. He also designed the lead characters for Disney Junior’s “Vampirina” and “The Rocketeer.”

Additionally, he has worked with other studios such as Cartoon Network and MTV Animation as an assistant art director.

His whimsical illustrations have been seen in publications around the globe and featured in artwork for Mattel, Hasbro, Scholastic and Chronicle Books.

A native of Port Reading, New Jersey, he currently resides in Los Angeles with his wife, Marion, and two kids.
