Emmy Liu-Wang

Emmy Liu-Wang stars as Paige, a natural-born leader who is fiercely loyal, fearless, fun and self-assured, in the Disney Original Movie “The Slumber Party.”

An actress, singer and musician, Liu-Wang is best known for portraying Ivy, Victor’s enterprising young neighbor who often babysits Alice, in Disney Channel’s hit series “Raven’s Home,” now in its sixth season.

Liu-Wang was born into a musical family in Queens, New York, where both her parents are professional cellists and music teachers. As a result, she started playing the cello at the age of five and piano at six, quickly falling in love with performing both instruments on stage. Liu-Wang dreamed of being a princess and loved everything Disney. She soon started playing the piano, accompanying herself in singing Disney songs, thus the beginning of her passion for musical theater.

It did not take long for Liu-Wang to start her professional career. At age 10, she started auditioning for various roles. Her early projects include an appearance in an educational PSA with 6Underground, and guest-starring in “Last Week Tonight with John Oliver” on HBO, gaining more than 14 million views on YouTube. Staying true to her love of musical theater, her next role came as she was cast as Amaryllis in the Broadway Center Stage production of “The Music Man” at Kennedy Center, alongside Rosie O’Donnell, Jessie Mueller and Norm Lewis.

With the devastating news of COVID-19 and the shutdown of Broadway, Liu-Wang shifted her focus to TV and film. She was soon cast as Ivy in season five of “Raven’s Home” on Disney Channel, with her role continuing in season six.

In her spare time, Liu-Wang is like any typical teenager. She loves hanging out with her friends, going on social media and watching movies. She also loves to sing in many genres of music, including opera, musical theater, pop and jazz. She has a YouTube channel, Instagram and Tiktok, where she performs covers of songs while accompanying herself on the piano, cello and guitar. (@emmy_liuwang)
