Alex Hirsch

Alex Hirsch voices King, a feisty yet adorable tiny warrior, in Disney Channel’s animated fantasy-comedy series “The Owl House.”

Hirsch created and executive produced Disney’s Emmy® Award-winning “Gravity Falls,” inspired from his real-life summer adventures he shared with his twin sister, Ariel, while visiting their relatives. He also voiced many of the characters on the series including Grunkle Stan, Soos and Bill Cipher.

He graduated from California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) in 2007 and during his attendance created the short “Off the Wall.”

Shortly after graduating, Hirsch worked at digital entertainment studio JibJab and was a writer/storyboard artist on “The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack.” He later served as a creative consultant and helped develop the hit Disney Channel animated series “Fish Hooks” and voiced Clamantha, one of the show’s title characters. Recently, he contributed to the script of the Oscar® Award-winning film “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.”

Born and raised in Piedmont, California, Hirsch currently resides in Los Angeles.
