Chandra Zeikel
Chandra Zeikel is the executive producer of the afternoon and early evening programming for ABC News Live.
Before joining ABC News, Zeikel worked at CNN for 32 years, where she started as an intern and worked her way up to becoming an executive producer. During her career at CNN, Zeikel was part of a team that launched three programs: “New Day,” “Starting Point with Soledad O’Brien” and “American Morning.”
She has worked with teams that have won multiple awards, including a 2018 Edward R. Murrow Award for Hurricane Maria coverage, a 2010 Peabody Award for coverage of the Gulf oil spill, and a 1996 Emmy® Award for Breaking News Coverage of the Olympic Park bombing.
Zeikel has a well-established career and brings a vast wealth of live television experience, from covering natural disasters to presidential races.
