Ashan Singh

Ashan Singh is a multiplatform reporter for ABC News’ “Nightline.”

Singh began his career in journalism as a freelance production associate at “Nightline” in 2016. Since then, he has held various roles on the show, including on-air contributor and producer, before being named multiplatform reporter in 2022.

His reporting takes viewers on narrative, journey-driven experiences that help contextualize the issues defining the country and world today. In addition to “Nightline,” Singh has also been featured in a variety of ABC News programs and platforms, including “Good Morning America” and “ABC News Live Prime.”

Singh was recognized as part of the 2021 NABJ (National Association of Black Journalists) awards for his work on “Nightline”’s “Turning Point: Lens of History.”
