‘GMA3: What You Need To Know’ Is No. 1 in Total Viewers, Beating Both CBS’ ‘The Talk’ and NBC’s ‘Today With Hoda & Jenna’ for the 9th Consecutive Week
Season to Date, ‘GMA’ Is No. 1 in Total Viewers and Leads CBS in Both Women 25-54 and Women 18-49
“GMA3: What You Need to Know” ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers during the week of June 27, 2022, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research, beating both CBS’ “The Talk” and NBC’s “TODAY with Hoda & Jenna” for the 9th consecutive week.
In addition, “GMA3” defeated CBS’ “The Talk” in Women 18-49 and Women 25-54.
For the 2nd week in a row, “GMA3” was up over the previous week in Women 25-54 (+3% – 193,000 vs. 187,000) and hit a 4-week high – since w/o 5/30/22.
Season to date, “GMA3” ranks No. 1 in Total Viewers, leading CBS’ “The Talk” and NBC’s “TODAY with Hoda & Jenna.” “GMA3” also leads the CBS program in Women 25-54 and Women 18-49.
NOTE: On Tuesday (6/28/22), coverage for “GMA3” was to be rated by Nielsen; CBS’ “The Talk” was preempted, and NBC’s “TODAY with Hoda & Jenna” was coded as a breakout due to live coverage of the Jan. 6 hearings. On Thursday (6/30/22), NBC’s “TODAY with Hoda & Jenna” was retitled to “Tdy Hoda & Jenna” due to live coverage of Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson swearing in. On Friday (7/1/22), “GMA3” was retitled to “GMA3-ABC” due to the Fourth of July weekend. “GMA3”’s weekly averages are based on three days (Monday, Wednesday and Thursday), “The Talk”’s weekly averages are based on four days (Monday and Wednesday-Friday), and “TODAY with Hoda & Jenna”’s weekly averages are based on three days (Monday, Wednesday and Friday).
“GMA3: What You Need to Know” is a one-hour program co-anchored by Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes with Dr. Jennifer Ashton as chief medical correspondent, airing weekdays at 1:00 p.m. ET| 12:00 p.m. CT on ABC. Catherine McKenzie is the executive producer.
