‘This Week’ Is No. 1 in Total Viewers and Adults 25–54

“This Week with George Stephanopoulos” ranked No. 1 in both Total Viewers and Adults 25-54 on Sunday, July 31, 2022, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research, leading CBS’ “Face the Nation” and NBC’s “Meet the Press” in the key Adult news demo for the 2nd consecutive week and for the 4th time in the last 5 weeks.

 

“This Week” posted its first Total Viewer victory over the CBS program since February — since 2/27/22. In addition, “This Week” beat “Meet the Press” by its largest Total Viewer margin (+317,000) in over 5 months — since 2/20/22, based on regular telecasts.

 

“This Week” increased from the previous week in Adults 25-54 (+6% – 472,000 vs. 445,000) to its strongest news demo audience in 6 weeks — since 6/19/22.

 

Season to date, “This Week” is ranking No. 1 in Adults 25-54, leading CBS’ “Face the Nation” and NBC’s “Meet the Press” at this point of the season for the first time in 7 years — since the 2014-2015 season.

 

“This Week” is leading NBC’s “Meet the Press” in Total Viewers season to date for the first time in 7 years — since the 2014-2015 season. In addition, “This Week” is cutting its season margin with “Face the Nation” by 19% (266,000 vs. 330,000) to its smallest gap in 12 years — since the 2009-2010 season.

 

George Stephanopoulos is anchor, Martha Raddatz is chief global affairs correspondent and co-anchor, and Jonathan Karl is chief Washington correspondent and co-anchor of “This Week.” Dax Tejera is executive producer of the broadcast.
