During the week of Nov. 9, 2020, ABC’s season premiere of “Grey’s Anatomy” ranked as the No. 1 gainer in TV playback in Adults 18-49 (+1.2 rating points-tie). In fact, with a playback lift of +1.2 rating points from Live+Same Day to Live+7 Day, the “Grey’s Anatomy” premiere delivered the biggest increase for any series on any network this season with Adults 18-49, tying the 11/10/20 and 10/27/20 telecasts of NBC’s “This Is Us.” ABC claimed 2 of the week’s Top 3 biggest gainers with “Grey’s Anatomy” – No. 1 (tie) and “The Good Doctor” (+0.8 rating points) – No. 3 (tie).

 

On a percentage basis, “The Good Doctor” was the week’s No. 1 playback gainer on the broadcast networks in Adults 18-49, with a lift of +133% from Live+Same Day to Live+7 Day. With 7 days of TV playback, “The Good Doctor” averaged a 1.4/9 among Adults 18-49.

 

ABC also delivered the No. 1 playback gainer of the week in Total Viewers with “The Good Doctor” (+4.31 million). After 7 days of TV playback, “The Good Doctor” soared to 9.1 million viewers.

 

“Grey’s Anatomy” stood as the No. 1 entertainment series of the week in Adults 18-49 (2.6/15), as ABC claimed 2 of the week’s Top 5: “Grey’s Anatomy”—No. 1 and “The Bachelorette” (2.2/13)—No. 4. Excluding sports and news programming, the season premiere of “Grey’s Anatomy” stood as the highest-rated entertainment telecast on any night on any network so far this season among Adults 18-49 (2.6 rating), tying NBC’s “This Is Us” premiere and the 9/30/20 telecast of Fox’s “The Masked Singer.”
