ABC Audio Announces Special July 4th Holiday Programming

Three Specials: ‘Fourth of July Live,’ ‘Red, White and Rock Live!’ and ‘Turning to Tech’

ABC Audio will provide three specials to affiliates over the July 4th holiday weekend. With concerts on hold due to the COVID-19 outbreak, ABC Audio’s music specials “Red, White and Rock Live!” and “Fourth of July Live” will bring the best live cuts from favorite in-concert performances to listeners. ABC News Radio will provide the three-hour special “Turning to Tech.”

Country music duo Brothers Osborne host “Fourth of July Live.” The special features hits by top country music stars performed live during concerts hosted by Front & Center. The program includes music by Luke Combs, Miranda Lambert, Kane Brown, Reba McEntire and more.

The three-hour rock special, “Red, White and Rock Live!,” celebrates America’s birthday and features live, in-concert cuts from rock’s biggest names – including an exclusive Speakeasy performance by Santana. Hosted by ABC Audio’s Matt Wolfe, the special dives into the rock archives, playing some of the best live recordings in all of rock and roll by ZZ Top, Heart, Jimi Hendrix, Aerosmith and more.

ABC News Radio correspondent Alex Stone hosts “Turning to Tech,” which explores how Americans used technology while sheltering in place. From virtual classrooms and doctor appointments, to exercising at home and remote work, Stone reports on the new role technology plays in daily life.
